Teaching Abroad in Japan: Guest Post from Bernadette

Bernadette has chosen to share a few videos with you rather than writing a post. Check them out below! You can see more of her videos on her YouTube Channel!

Bernadette Etcheverry Plazola was born in Southern California to Mexican parents. Bernadette completed her B. A. and M. A. from Cal Poly Pomona University.

Bernadette currently teaches Band, Ukulele, Piano, Drum Set, Sanshin, and Voice in Okinawa, Japan.

Bernadette's educational philosophy is: "Everybody is a musician, the just don't know it...YET!" Passionate about helping every student become a musician, Bernadette spends a lot of time researching curriculum and creating resources for students of all ages. You can see these resources she has created by clicking here!

If you enjoy teacher humor and want to see more updates about Bernadette's resources, like her Facebook page, and if you'd like to see more videos of the students playing and learning music, visit Bernadette Teaches Music: the YouTube Channel she created!
