This is my first time joining a linky party!!! And well, its Friday in this country! So here it goes...
(This picture was taken in Sri Lanka last year - Oct 2014)
I went swimming with my class on Wednesday (they are swimming in Phys Ed class, all girls). I was so impressed! Almost half of them could swim the width of the pool.. some had to stop but most of them made it! They were awesome.
I am currently working on updating a Grade 3 Fractions Interactive Notebook unit that I made last year.. Hopefully you can expect it next week! I am trying to improve some of my previous resources so they can be shared with others! Keep an eye out for them.. I'm currently on a Math kick, so you can expect some 5th grade math units coming up in the future when I have some more time on my hands!
Are you getting to the end of your explorer's unit and need something to let the students show you what they know? Here is a great Explorer's flip book that I made and used this year, it turned out great! There is a writing rubric for non-fiction writing included as well, so all the hard work is done for you!! My kids loved it and really impressed me. First we did group presentations on a few different explorers, then the kids were able to choose one to do their further independent research.
That's all for this week! See you all next week :)
We visit Dubai twice a year and LOVE the place, we aren't going this year and i'm already having withdrawal symptoms! That book looks great! I've recently purchased a guided reading book and am really enjoying it! Have a great weekend!

Reading in Room 11
No problem! It lays out the different types of readers and gives lots of examples of how to reach them all!
